At long last, I have begun to add content to this website. I hope it will serve several purposes out there in the frenetic world of the Internets: I hope it will provide a resource for students looking for fiddle lessons as well as a point of entry for readers interested in what’s happening in the very exciting worlds of Irish music scholarship, gender/queer studies + music, and historical ethnomusicology. I may also decide to begin blogging again–this time with a focus on the strange and precarious situation of music scholarship in the academy, and of individual scholars (independent and not) as we search for jobs, meaning, and music.
